Sullivan Family of Companies is Hiring a Recruitment Manager (#99 Main Office, Honolulu) Near Honolulu, HI

The Recruitment Manager will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Sullivan Family of Companies facilities which is comprised of Foodland Super Market, Ltd., Food Pantry, Ltd., Kalama Beach Corporation, Coffee Pacific LLC, and Pacific Sweets LLC. The Recruitment Manager develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process including collaborating with hiring managers, developing efficient and effective recruiting methods, implementing streamlined screening and selection processes with the goal of improving the ability to fill open positions with strong, qualified talent for the company.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsibilities include the identification, assessment, and selection of top talent for positions across the entities through the design and implementation of effective recruitment strategies, selection practices and candidate and client management.
  • This position will evaluate the talent acquisition needs of the organization and continuously evaluate and improve the way we recruit to achieve business goals.
  • Lead centralized recruitment strategy including sourcing, identifying, screening, and on-boarding a diverse and qualified applicant pool for all levels of placement on a timely and effective basis.
  • Create a recruitment plan and goals based on growth and turnover projections and other business objectives.
  • Drive the execution of an innovative, cost-effective recruitment plan and the creation and monitoring of associated programs, processes, and measurements to achieve strategic goals and talent objectives.
  • In collaboration with the VP of HR, develop best-in-class strategies and procedures to build talent pipelines through sourcing candidates, developing candidate pools, and performing Boolean searches to identify the best candidates.
  • Participate in and hosts recruitment events to drive awareness of our company
  • Identify and recruit top talent through local and national recruiting efforts, employing. traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as developing and employing new, creative recruiting ideas to talent acquisition needs.
  • Seeks to continuously improve every stage of the recruitment life cycle.
  • Have significant product knowledge and demonstrate positive, friendly and courteous customer service.
  • Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members input is encouraged and valued. Demonstrates the ability to lead, effectively communicate, and champion.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to our Guiding Principles and House Rules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Ability:

  • Must have ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Program, Word, Outlook, Excel etc.
  • Requires high organization and great attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic planning, including developing and implementing recruitment plans.
  • Ability to foster relationships with internal teams, external partners, and candidates.
  • Required to talk to employees, supervisors, managers, executives, and outside trade persons/vendors.
  • Able to compile written communication to employees, supervisors, managers, executives, and outside persons/vendors.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify metrics and data to back up your strategy, programs, and ideas.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., job boards, social media, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of targeted selection & behavioral interviewing techniques.
  • Strong influencing and consultation skills required.
  • Must have a positive approach to people and problem solutions along with a strong sense of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Performs with a “sense of urgency” and possesses a positive attitude.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required with a major or emphasis in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in recruitment and/or staffing required.
  • Demonstrated experience with full-cycle, high volume recruiting in a corporate environment required.
  • Demonstrated experience with employee value propositions and employer branding initiatives.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Ability to bend over and kneel frequently.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally carry up to 25 pounds.

This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits and the individual will be based at the corporate/main office.
